Is there a way to configure Network Manager to always try the wired network? Or perhaps a command line utility that allows me to enable the wired network?
My box doesn't have wireless capabilities at all, but right now I have to actually log in to Gnome and use the tray icon to get my network up and running after each boot. I'm having trouble with Compiz so logging into Gnome does not always work. In these cases I have no means (that I know of) to actually get my machine up on the network. Is it as simple is uninstalling Network Manager? It seems to me that the software should be able to detect wired connections and use those if no wireless capabilities or networks are detected. -- Wired network not enabled upon system boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/97278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
