No worries; I'm actually also referring to the Maverick development release in my comment as that's where I tried to reproduce the error you are seeing but have been so far unsuccessful. If you follow the steps that I've outlined, do you still see a different result? Or, if you are following a different procedure, would you mind writing up a specific sequence of steps that gives you the failure so that I can try to reproduce?
For your reference, I tried this with version 3.0.2 of Software Center. You can check the version number in Software Center by choosing "Edit -> About" in the menu.
