Well, I am sorry if I have caused you any trouble by posting this particular bugs again and again.I am new to this Linux OS, and this problem, I am not really able to handle it. I formatted and installed Linux 3 times. In my laptop every thing is working fine, except for the sound (both in laptop speakers and also in the headphones I hear no sound)While, the microphone seems to be working, because as I recorded my voice and saved it in the other directory and played via. windows7 I could hear my voice, which explains that the problem is with the output sound.I also tried the following latest snapshot instructions, > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules , reboot,The > file got downloaded but there was message saying that some downloads werenot > successful or some old updates were used instead. But, it didn't solved the > problem. Rather, when I opened Gnomealsamixer there appeared to be two SPDIF > and SPDIF1.Then I tried to uninstall the this latest AlsaDriverModules but > there was message saying something was locked and if I was the > administrator.I hope this information will help. Thanks you,Bishwa
