Hmm...the probemask option obviously did not help, so remove it again. I'm thinking that if you could post a new apport-collect (or alsa-info) when soundcard is actually working and/or when it has been working and then fails, perhaps that could give a clue to what might be wrong...but we're beyond the easy solutions unfortunately.
