I turned on debug logging on Thursday, then left the computer running over the weekend. Here's the debug log from yesterday; it shows that printers.conf is rewritten (right at the end) even though there has been no activity for several days.
Incidentally, the cupsctl command didn't work for me, even as root; instead, I edited /etc/cups/cupsd.conf by hand. -LogLevel warn +LogLevel debug ** Attachment added: "Log file with debugging enabled" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/627287/+attachment/1684001/+files/error_log.1.gz ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- Rewrites /etc/cups/printers.conf every night https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
