I believe I am running Lucid. My kernel is
Linux 2.6.32-25-generic-pae
My power management is running correctly at this time.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. A new version of Gnome Power Manager is available on
Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with
that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
After updating from 2.6.32-23-generic-pae to 2.6.32-24-generic-pae, my monitor
is no longer being turned off by power management. I'm running on AC, and my
system is pretty much a 'vanilla' 10.04 system. Beyond a standard 10.04 build,
I have only installed VLC, and my data base is on a second HDD. Power
management worked perfectly until the update from -23- to -24-. I can still
drop back to -23- and have power management working OK. I've tried fiddling
with the screensaver and power management setting, but no luck.
