I can see the patch is in the current ubuntu kernel git.
and I just did:
losetup -f aloopbackfile
mount /dev/loop0 /mnt
umount /mnt
losetup -d /dev/loop0
and the icon disappeared and it doesn't appear in udisks --enumerate any
more.
Looks good.
