The apt cron job does not fetch translated package descriptions in
maverick. The LANG environment is used by default and for the cron job
that is C.
+
+ TEST CASE:
+ 1. install fresh lucid with non-english default locale
+ 2. reboot login, wait until the default cron job kicks in
+ 3. look at /var/lib/apt/lists/*Translation* and verify that the non-english
translations are missing
+ 4. install apt from lucid-proposed
+ 5. reset anacron and apt peroidoc info "rm /var/lib/apt/periodic/*" and rm
/var/spool/anacron/cron.*
+ 6. repeat step 2 (including the reboot)
