I really can't understand why you guys putted plymouth into an LTS release. It's buggy, far from use able (i.e. in combination with official NVIDIA drivers) and I'm as a normal user without much knowledge of recompiling not able to remove it by my self. I really can't understand that so please change this unnecessary dependency.
