Yeah, I did not think about the sorting. A separate column sounds good.

I was trying to think about using the empty space in the 'download' column .
To save the space, what we could do is drop the header for the column.
Move the checkbox as the first column.
So the first column would just be a 'checkbox' with no header followed by the 
'File Name' 'Progress' 'Size' 'Priority' .
Or if the header has to have a name, we could name the first column as 'Select' 
which would be smaller than 'Download'.
