The top left being round is intended, I would say. This is one of the features that distinguishes it from capital B. I think the biggest problem is to work out the difference between the capital Eszett and the capital B. And yes the character really looks a bit wide. But in my eyes, that is not a real problem. Other uppercase characters are quite wide as well: W M
