Public bug reported:
If you read this I hope you can answer:
How to resolve the errors?
Why is ibus required for english only system?
Is it possible to completely remove ibus and all dependence on it in kubuntu,
on english only system?
After an update to 10.10 I am having issues caused by ibus. This package
was not installed and installing and starting it up didn't fix the
problem either. It seems that somehow ibus is being forced behind the
scenes because this Qt app is built from source has no reason to use
it. I am experiencing system instability with x11 freeze shortly after
the this error is reported. So I'd like to clear this up to be able to
cross it off the list of potential causes.
Here are the errors I see when starting a qt application compiled from
source:
QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: No such
file or directory
QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/sanata/.config/ibus/bus
Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.
IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon
