This bug appears to be the same as #666058 and #472716. But it is described here more precisely. The reason for the problem is a wrong selection of the area of the extended desktop for the second screen.
I experience the same problem using a 1366x768 screen and 1280x1024 in dual view mode. It happens both with deactivated and activated fglrx driver. As reported by Andreas Gölzer the effect vanishes as soon as "a more common resolution" is chosen instead of the 1366x768. Anyway, it probably affects a lot of users using their laptop together with an external screen. Does anyone know a possibility to configure the position of the shown area of the extended desktop for each screen?
