Ok, I removed myself from those groups and I installed the drivers suggested in your second link. Still I can hear no sound when entering "pasuspender -- speaker-test -c2 -l1 -twav -Dplug:front:SB". The weird sound on the green jacks also remains, and the blue jack is still quiet, so everything has stayed the same.
