Thanks, Adam. As the error suggested, your named.conf.local file is
not valid. Please remove the 'adam' line (or comment it out) and try
restarting. If you just wanted a localhost zone, please see the 'zone
localhost'
line in /etc/bind/named.conf.default-zones. If you need more help, please
feel free to join on irc (on #ubuntu-server on irc.freenode.net for example)
for more help, as I am far from an expert on bind configs.
