@Nina Marwede - Are you using gnome or kde? - I was assuming gnome... - which is what I am using. If it's KDE I am bailing out of the trouble-shooting here. If it is gnome - I have no longer lucid on any of my machines - but if it is gnome I create one in virtual box and try to re-create the problem. Over the WE.
To exclude the possibility of a config file in your home directory causing the problem - create a test user on your system system/administration/users and groups A test account is always handy to have to test things like that... I suggest you log out as you and log on as the test user - rather then doing a parallel session. Enable the quick starter for the test user. Create and save a test office doc. Close office app. Can you shut down then? If the test user does not have the problem - we know it's a setting or file in your home dir. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/562027 Title: [ooo-build] OOo QuickStarter: unable to shutdown / reboot / logout when quickstarter is active -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
