The problem got worse & frequent and random restarts of the computer
made it quite unusable. I had to reinstall. All my problems have gone
with the re-installation of Ubuntu 10.10, however, it is sad to see no
one at LaunchPad even bothered to even comment / assist or do something
to help me make some progress on this issue that I had brought up on
launchpad.
