Keeping pressed the right shift, start the pc, grub menu will showed, select 
the 2.6.35 kernel, enter, when the system is started go to system - 
administrtion - synaptyc, click the search box and type linux, then mark for 
removal all the entries for the 2.6.37 kernel.
Can you also please download the latest build of natty that ship the most 
advenced kernel and try a live session without installing:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
to see if this bug is fixed, elsewhere report here that we go to look into gpm 
triaging
