In 10.10 it's no problem with confused screen when switch to text console with CTRL+ALT+F1. The same is no problem after suspend to RAM.
But note: this is a special install of ubuntu 10.10 I have not installed it on the laptop's HDD, I have done this with an other computer (with ATI Graphics), on this other computer I installed 10.10 to CompactFlash-Card with USB-CardReader. And I have boot it on this other computer, too. And installed the newest updates there. And then I have used this installation on the laptop. NOTE: It could be, that the ubuntu bootscreen is another one(other resolution, ...) as when I installed it on the laptop's HDD. Booting 10.04 on laptop: ubuntu LOGO will be shown Booting 10.10 on laptop with USB-Card-Reader: only the text "ubuntu 10.10" without logo will shown (+ any text messages) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452907 Title: [PM800] No terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1, ...) after suspend to RAM (cunfused screen now) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
