Hi, I'm the maintainer of zim (upsteam). I agree that the description could be more clear and I'm open to suggestions. So far I have not seen a proposal for a text to replace it that seems better to me. If there is a concrete proposal I will consider it for the description in the upstream project page etc. Of course you are free to go ahead with a modified version in the ubuntu or debian packages.
In any case I would appreciate it if the reference to "wiki" style editing is kept in the description since I know from discussions with actual users that this is a common search term that makes people end up with zim.
