Hey, sorry I missed this one. No, nothing. I filed another bug as instructed and followed the ABC's of sound bugs but nothing worked. I really didn't expect any resolution on this to be honest as it's oldish hardware now and I doubt people with the know how have access to or interest in sourcing the hardware to test on. Just thought I'd log a bug to see how the process went. Frustrating for me because I used to have sound on that laptop running pclinuxos 2007 or there abouts. Anyway, back to windows I trundle, begrudgingly.. At least the hardware works. Good luck :) On 13/01/2011 12:21 AM, "libertyblues" <[email protected]> wrote: > Kristian, did you have any luck with this? > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661795 > > Title: > [Analog Devices AD1981] ALSA test tone not correctly played back > > Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu: > Incomplete > > Bug description: > Ubuntu 10.10 > > alsa-base: > Installed: 1.0.23+dfsg-1ubuntu4 > Candidate: 1.0.23+dfsg-1ubuntu4 > Version table: > *** 1.0.23+dfsg-1ubuntu4 0 > 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages > 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status > > alsaplayer-alsa: > Installed: (none) > Candidate: 0.99.80-5build1 > Version table: > 0.99.80-5build1 0 > 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe i386 Packages > > There's no sound at all, not in firefox/chrome/movieplayer.
