  In firefox if file://anythingatall is typed into the address bar the
  root directory is shown.
  
  To see for yourself:
  
-  * Open firefox
-  * Type file:// into the address bar followed by anything you want.
-  * Press enter or click the little arror to the right of the address bar.
-  * Observe you root directory in all it's rooty goodness.
