@henritonchain, great that you found a solution. Can you please do the following: 1) I'm assuming you still have https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules installed 2) Shut down and start up your computer, so the noise comes up. 3) Take an alsa-info https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo 4) Start hda_analyzer and change the minimum number of things you need to change to make the noise go away - and still have complete functionality, of course. (If possible, try to make sure stuff as Mic Playback is still working.) 5) Take a new alsa-info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo
I'll see if I can see what you change, and then try to change the same thing at bootup automatically. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705633 Title: [Realtek ALC889] Horrible Sound distortion -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
