Ok this is a fresh 32-bit 10.10 install, alsa-info1.txt... is right after log in alsa-info2.txt... is right after slight movement of volume slider
Some new info, I tried experimenting some more and found un-muting "Alert Volume" and checking the "Enable Windows and Buttons Sounds" causes all "Alerts" to be unaffected by the bug even after a reboot. Unfortunately all other sound is still effected. ** Attachment added: "alsa-info1.txt.2VxEMMyFpQ" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/661885/+attachment/1843881/+files/alsa-info1.txt.2VxEMMyFpQ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661885 Title: After booting all sound is loud until the volume slider is slightly moved then sound works like normal until rebooting -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
