Can you please be more descriptive than "stopped working"? Do you mean
it booted to a black screen?
Does it start working again when you downgrade to an earlier version of
-intel? Which version?
Did you *only* upgrade the -intel driver, or did you upgrade the linux
kernel as well? Are you certain it wasn't the linux update that brought
the freeze?
