Re-hello,
I used the text-based alternate CD in all cases when the installation stopps at
73%. Can I switch to a terminal window/console when installing from an
alternate CD/DVD? I used these images
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/

Installation from Ubuntu 11.04 Alpha2 (Live CD) works just fine. And I managed
to do some good tests.
I used natty-desktop-amd64.iso image from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/natty/alpha-2/

Unfortunately, I upgraded the system to latest packages and now it drops
to a shell-prompt after reboot. I also let it install the restricted
(NVidia) driver, this may be the reason. Nevermind, a quick re-
installation will fix this.
