Hi Thanks for coming back. I switched to Debian as I didn't have problems there (squeeze). I tried twice to upgrade to a newer version of libdrm and linux-2.6.37 and always got the error after a few hours of work.
But I will soon reboot into Kubuntu, run a safe-upgrade, reboot again and test for at least two days to see whether the bug is still present.
