I am having a similar problem with my Sansa Clip+.
When I look in the file /usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/10
-usb-music-players.fdi , it says at line 512:
"<!-- Sansa Clip and Fuze versions 1 and 2.
Older devices require a firmware upgrade to support all
output formats, but we can't detect that via USB ID. -->"
Does this mean I need to downgrade my Sansa Clip+ firmware in order to
make the device work?
