OK, the "solution" for 32 bit systems (apparently sometimes also 64bit have 
been affected) is
sudo rm /usr/lib64

and then simply install fakeroot

Now if this ever gets assigned to some developer, all he needs to find
is which evil package creates this link in 32bit, and why!
