I have just tried again with the same result. I started with: sudo apt-get remove phpmyadmin Removed "Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf" from /etc/apache2/apache2.conf sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
And then: sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin Going to http://localhost/phpmyadmin in my browser i get: The requested URL /phpmyadmin was not found on this server. As far as i can see Apache wasn't started during the phpMyAdmin installation, so i restart Apache and still get: The requested URL /phpmyadmin was not found on this server. Adding "Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf" and /etc/apache2/apache2.conf and restarting Apache and i have the login page for phpMyAdmin. My Ubuntu 10.10 is fairly clean - only a few weeks old, and I haven't messed with Apache, PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin before following the Server Guide in this order: https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/serverguide/C/httpd.html https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/serverguide/C/php5.html https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/serverguide/C/mysql.html https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/serverguide/C/phpmyadmin.html Best regards Bo Christensen -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/730052 Title: Documentation for installing phpMyAdmin incomplete -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
