Public bug reported:
After creating a USB Startup disk on Windows using the syslinux method
provided on ubuntu.com for installing the netbook variation of ubuntu;
the OS will hang after installation has completed and you press "Restart
Now". It will just show the Ubuntu wallpaper; mouse frozen, CRTL+ALT+DEL
no effect, hard-shutdown is required. It will then boot as normal.
I am installing to a netbook, and have no other PC available to debug
the issue, therefore, I cannot debug the issue myself. TTY1 is not
available, as keyboard does not respond.
Netbook is an ASUS Eee PC 1015PE.
