@Tom: hum, I don't see how it exists in the current code. I'm
calculating the distance between 1:1 and the edge in diagonal (until the
edge of the screen on a given x *and* y position, not horizontal or
vertical. Your function is only taking care either of the horizontal or
of the vertical or do I miss anything?
