It wouldn't surprise me overly if this didn't work because of the WiMax
part that keeps it from being recognized by a driver (or from being
switched by usb-modeswitch).
Could you please run 'apport-collect 731718' on your system with the
device plugged in? This will attach additional information to the bug
report and should allow us to pinpoint where the dongle doesn't get
detected. Thanks in advance!
