I'm afraid I haven't been able to finish working on this yet, so I will
unassign myself for now. Unfortunately, the version in my PPA is not
suitable for release because binary-independent builds fail (see
comments 32 and 33). Something funny is going on with the html
documentation build, meaning that the binary-indep rule can't link files
into the documentation folder. I guess it's a directory-naming problem,
but I haven't had chance to track it down.
