Have the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04

There is the patch for Gentoo:

Is it possible to implement it also for Ubuntu?

  When I try to establish a Cisco VPN session using vpnc, the connection
  is never successfully established. I imported the connection's .pcf file
  (which other people are using with their Cisco client) into network-
  manager, however I cannot get the connection up.
