Andres, No I have not tested it with the pm-powersave ACTION_METHOD. I will have to take a look at this and see how it works to comment. The hardware I have been working with is too old to do much with the powersave mode, so I really hadn't looked at it much.
The way the plugin works, it should really only have a problem if something keeps the drives in active/idle state. That would keep PowerNap from declaring the plugin inactive and thus going to sleep. Perhaps a more strongly worded comment is in order in the config file that states something to the effect "If you monitor a drive that does not go into standby or sleep mode, PowerNap will not sleep, since it will continue to view the drive as in use. Therefore, it only makes sense to monitor a drive that has already been configured to standby or sleep. Note also that this plugin only reacts to the state of the drive and does not modify the behavior of the drive directly." -Jim -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/738764 Title: powernap enhancement, DiskMonitor plugin to add monitoring of standby/sleeping disks -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
