Yes, a gsetting key is possible, or just toggle by number of clicks: First, 
just show windows from with workspace, and then, with another click on the 
icon, show windows from all workspaces. 
(or, to be more precise like it is nearly now: 1. click: last used window, 2. 
click: windows from this workspace, 3. click: windows from all workspaces)
