Hi Wolter! Thanks for your bug report. Software-center caches the width
of the sidebar whenever it is closed, and restores the sidebar to that
width whenever it is opened. This works both in Ubuntu 11.04 and Ubuntu
10.10. Could you perhaps try manually restoring the sidebar to a nice
width and then verify whether software-center correctly restores this
with on the next startup? Thanks again for your help!
