libcap2-bin, actually. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

Here's what I remember from yesterday:
1) apt-get install libcap2-bin
2) [Message box pops up]
    It looks like you have made some local changes, should they be overridden? 
Yes/No

I had commented the following line in common-session because it was causing 
problems with gdm
#session  optional  pam_ck_connector.so  nox11

3) Choose "No"
4) [Another message]
...: Run pam-auth-update --force if you change your mind.
5) pam-auth-update --force
6) [Another message box, I don't remember what it was about but sounded 
reasonable, so—]
7) Choose "Yes"
8) passwd

That's it, more or less.
