I've reported my bug with evolution (and data corruption) here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/745408 and together with this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/372014 eCryptfs doesn't look very good in current Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS.
