This looks like Bug #407862 since the last entry in /var/log/messages is Apr 2 22:28:50 Mamuwalde rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="4.2.0" x-pid="1005" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] rsyslogd was HUPed, type 'lightweight'.
