Hi. I already have updated Unity to 3.8.4 version and this issue continue here with my current user. I tried now to login into a guest session and Unity started just fine, with everything working.
I don't know if this information will be helpful but in my installation I did a clean setup and my HOME folder was the same a used in Ubuntu 10.04 but I did clean all the config folders, and kept just the standard folders and created by myself.
