I've done as you suggested - the bug is still there but only in the 64-bit Beta2. I can get a terminal and start tailing syslog. After the crash, I can get nothing at all. The system is totally frozen and won't let me have a terminal. The attached syslog is a few seconds before the crash - it always happens reliably part way through the startup music. It does show a problem. Please ask if I can do anything to get more information for you. As I say, once the freeze has occurred, I can't do anything at all.
