Neither of those work for me (admittedly with a different Toshiba) - both alsamixer and /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 give me HDA ATI SB and "Generic 11c1 Si3054" I need to check cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#3 or cat /proc/asound/oss/sndstat to find the Realtek ALC861
