I cannot seem to produce this error on my machine. Are you able to
reproduce it by any chance?
** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: update-manager
While running Maverick, I run update-manager -d. I download and install
the natty packages. A few minutes into the installation(see attachment
lines 216-217), I get a window telling me about the services cron and
atd. I cannot check the version of the old software, as I have finished
the upgrade(there was no cancel button). This creates an implicaion for
unattended installs, waiting on a debconf window.

+ Lines in question:
+ cron: restarting...FAILED! (1)
+ atd: restarting...FAILED! (1)
