An odd thing is that PopTray, a wine application adds itself to the
panel when launched as it always has.

I'm running Unity on a partition dedicated to testing, and won't even
consider running anything but Ubuntu Classic on my stable partition
until this bug is resolved. I need Cryptkeeper to stay in compliance
with the government agency that oversees my industry.

I suppose I could run gnome-panel every session, but that defeats the
purpose of Unity.
