Here are the steps I do to get the error: Right click on the desktop and select Create Launcher Create a file launcher for a directory location (Not a file in a director Ex. file:///home/willz06jw/ ) Drag the newly created icon to the gnome-panel at the top of the screen (Next to the firefox, evolution, and help buttons) Move the icon in between the evolution and help icons. Delete the first icon you created Restart the computer
The problem that I noticed was: The new top icon stays on the top gnome-panel when you delete the original on the desktop, but after you reboot the new top icon disappears. (Also, if you do not delete the first icon you created, the new icon comes back as a gray square with an X in it.) -- Launcher icons disappear from the top panel Feisty amd64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107373 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
