Inspiron 1525 with Unity, Also will freeze if lid closed for more than 5 seconds, but can move the mouse, and switch to console. Also important to note, doesn't seem to freeze with I am on an empty desktop. I can have my mail and/or browser open, but as long as I am on a blank desktop, it does not seem to freeze up. I have not extensively tested this, but seems to be a fact for me.
