Same for me, also with an Inspiron 1525. I am midway through composing a
document late in the evening. I flip down the laptop's lid, intending to
finish the document in bed. I carry the laptop upstairs and flip the lid
back up. Everything *appears* as it did before, and I can move my mouse
pointer as normal across my screen. But mouse clicks and keyboard events
no longer have any effect: the only key that does anything is the power
button, which, if held down, shuts down the laptop. With no autosaving
set, that means an hour's lost work.
