I have been trying to get reproduce the bug to capture dmesg, i915_error_state and even dtraces from my gdm session, but I am not sure what triggers it yet.
So far, it seems that it freezes when the screensaver is about to run, when idle for some time. I had since disengaged the screensaver, and the energy control option to never turn my screen off again, so far it has not frozen or logged out my system again. I suspect that this could be the root cause, but I am not sure how to prove it, or what packages could be involved to further the investigation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/771837 Title: xorg died (gracefully to login) but without ado -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
